On the Castner Creekwood Trail you will find new ID tags on trees and other descriptive signs to enhance your walk. Arborist Frank McKeever identified significant trees and Henry Castner attached tags and made hip-high posts to hold informational signs. Our trails provide an opportunity to become more knowledgeable about our native environment. Thanks to supporters of Walk Fearrington who provided funds for this latest improvement and for past improvements of the daffodils along the Millcroft Path, some supplies for the 2013 Creekwood Knit Blitz and for a long list of essential materials and equipment required to maintain the trails. Your past purchases of pedometers, logbooks, maps, t-shirts and generous donations made these improvements possible. With continued support, the trails can be maintained and improved to provide pleasurable walks close to home.
